Ingredients:
1 cup oil
1 cup water
1 1/4 cups sugar
5 cups all purpose flour (maida)
1 pinch salt
oil to fry
Method: Mix oil, sugar and water in a pan and heat it till the sugar melts and the mixture starts boiling. Turn the heat off and let the mixture cool down. Mix salt andmaida in above mixture and keep kneading it till it gets nice and firm dough( add some more maida if needed) and you should be able to roll it. Heat oil in a kadhai. Divide the dough in equal parts and start rolling it into round shape like a chapati (but thicker than chapati). Cut it with a knife horizontally and diagonally into small squares or diamond shape. Fry in oil on medium heat till you get light golden brown color. (Approximately 1 kg)
