Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tbsp fine sooji
1 tbsp vegetable oil
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Method: In a large bowl add flour, sooji and salt. Heat 1 tbsp oil and pour over it. Now start mixing together to remove lumps because of oil. Now start adding water little at a time just enough to form a firm dough. Apply few drops of oil to cover. Knead it until smooth. Cover it and let stand for at least 1/2 hour.
Divide dough into small ping-pong size balls. Roll it about 4-5" in diameter. Heat oil in kadhai and fry puri on medium heat. Fry from both sides till light golden brown. Remove and drain on kitchen paper towel. Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the dough. Serve hot with indian curries/ vegetables.
