Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
1 cup or less water
frying pan or tava
extra ghee/ butter
1 cup mozarella cheese/ cheddar cheese (grated)
1 small onion finely chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
couple of dashes black pepper
1/4 tsp carom seeds
1/4 tsp cumin powder
2-3 pinches red chili powder
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
salt to taste
Method: Put flour, salt and 1 tsp oil in a mixing bowl, start adding water and knead until firm dough( little firmer than chapati dough). Add extra water or flour if needed. Make equal small parts and shape them like balls.
Mix all filling ingredients together in a bowl and keep aside. Now roll out 2 medium sized thick parathas, put 2-3 tablespoons of cheese filling in the center of one paratha, spread little bit. Take the second paratha and stick it on top of the first paratha that has the cheese filling.
Heat griddle on high flame. Place paratha on it and cook like regular parathas with ghee/ butter. Repeat same procedure with the rest of parathas. Serve hot with ketchup.
