Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups besan
1 cup fine sooji
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup ghee
2 tbsp golden raisins
2 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp powdered cardamom
Method: Heat kadhai with 1/2 quantity of ghee. Add sooji and start roasting on medium flame until light golden, sauteing frequently. Remove from kadhai and add remaining ghee in the same kadhai. Add besan and roast till golden and aroma oozes out. Turn off the flame and add sooji in kadhai and mix well.
Now add water in sugar in a heavy pan and bring it to boil. After it starts boiling, lower the flame for 1 min. and turn it off. Now add the cardamom powder to the syrup and pour this over sooji-besan mixture. Mix well and let it cool little bit. When possible to hold the mixture in hand, add milk to it and start rolling between palms and pierce a raisin on top of it. Repeat the same procedure for the rest of the mixture. Finish rolling before it gets too cold. Store in a airtight container.
